This page is a short companion to our Privacy Policy. It is written to match the categories Google Play asks developers to disclose.
Data collected
- Personal info: name, email, phone number, handle, user IDs
- Photos and videos you choose to attach
- Audio if you record it in the app
- App activity: content you create, interactions, in-app search
- App info and performance: crash logs and diagnostics
- Device or other IDs: push notification tokens
- Approximate location (country / region)
- Precise location, only if you enable Location Access for Friday
- Contacts, only if you grant contacts permission
- Calendar data, only if you connect Apple or Google Calendar
How data is used
App functionality, account management, and — where you have allowed it — notifications and location-based features. We do not sell personal data. Friday is ad-free at launch.
Sharing
Data is shared with infrastructure and OS providers needed to run Friday (hosting, storage, push, and calendar providers you connect). It is not shared with advertisers.
Security and deletion
Data is encrypted in transit. Data at rest is encrypted by our cloud providers. You can request account deletion from Settings or privacy@friday.social.
